Joseph Patrick Leyden, 91, August 30, 2017, lifelong resident of the southwest side of Chicago, of West Lawn neighborhood, formerly of Brighton Park/St. Agnes Parish. Dearly beloved husband of Mary Ann McMillin Leyden; devoted son of the late Thomas and Mary Carroll Leyden; loving brother of Eleanor (late Noel) Lynch, Agnes (James) Blaney, the late Theresa (late Ed) Urbanski and the late Anna Leyden; dear uncle and friend of many.

U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II. Retired after 50 years of service to the federal government as an accountant.

Memorial Mass and Military Honors Saturday, Sept. 9, 10 a.m., at St. Nicholas of Tolentine Church, 6200 S. Lawndale Ave., Chicago. Private burial St. Mary Cemetery.
