Obituary for Adolfo Eliseo Pena Sr.
Adolfo Eliseo Peña 88, February 11, 2022, longtime resident of the South Side of Chicago, Little Village neighborhood. Beloved husband of 67 years to Esperanza Cardenas Peña; loving father of Adelia (late Noe) Hernandez, Magdalena Peña, Fidelina (Abel) Arteaga, Javier (Maria) Peña, Jose P. Peña, Esperanza (Damian) Zavala, Marcelino Peña, Adolfo (Claudia) Peña, and Elizabeth (Luis) Garcia; cherished grandfather of 24 and great-grandfather of 27 and one on the way!
Adolfo was preceded in death by his parents Pascual and Bruna Peña (Miranda), and his siblings Jose Adolfo, Candelaria, Francisco, and Ernestina.
Adolfo enjoyed listening to music. He loved traveling, especially to Mexico, to visit family and friends. He took pride tending to his backyard garden, and most of all spending time with his family at parties and get-togethers. He will always be remembered for his kind smile and outgoing personality.
Services will be held at CENTRAL CHAPEL, 6158 S. Central Ave., Chicago, IL, where family and friends will gather on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 from 3 to 8 p.m. Funeral service, Wednesday, February 16, 2022 9:00 am at Central Chapel, proceeding to Epiphany Church, 2524 S. Keeler Ave., Chicago for a 10:00 am Mass. Burial at Resurrection Cemetery in Justice. For those attending services, MASKS ARE REQUIRED.
