Alex Weinberg, 95, Jan. 29, 2017, of Glenwood, longtime resident of Olympia Fields; beloved husband of the late Sylvia Weinberg, nee Brailov; devoted father of Steven (Alison) Weinberg, of Homewood, and Tedi Cohen, of Glenwood; loving grandfather of Matthew and Andrew Weinberg, Brett (Nick Liebman) Cohen and Lauren (Nick Spitznagle) Cohen; dear brother of the late Ted Weinberg, Maurice Weinberg, Anna Hoffman and Mary Roman; dear brother in law of Harold and Ferne Brailov.

U.S. Navy Veteran, having served in World War II. President of Weinberg Plumbing Contractors. Member of Jewish War Veterans, B’Nai B’rith, and Southside Plumbing Contractors Association. Lifetime member, over 60 years, of Masonic Lodge, Past Master and member of Tinley Park Lodge 810, A.F. & A.M. Member and Past Treasurer Plumbers Union Local 130. Past President of American Society of Inspectors of Plumbing and Sanitary Engineers - A.S.S.E. International.

Graveside Service with Military Honors Wednesday, February 1, 1 p.m., at Waldheim Cemetery - Menorah Gardens/Gate 501, 2630 S. 17th Ave., Broadview, IL. Rabbi Paul Caplan, officiating.
