Obituary for Amparo E. Muñoz

Amparo E. Muñoz, 85, July 22, 2020, longtime resident of the Southwest Side of Chicago, Clearing -Garfield Ridge neighborhood; loving wife of the late Pablo A. Muñoz; adored mother of Jane, Paul, Jr., Mary, Carlos, Anna, John, Lupe, Anthony, Bob, Gloria, Luis, Ramiro, George, Arthur and David; devoted sister of 1 brother and 3 sisters; cherished grandmother to all of her grandchildren; preceded in death by her parents. Amparo touched the lives of many and was a fun-loving aunt and friend to all.

Amparo was originally from the South Side - Back of the Yards neighborhood after coming from Mexico. She had a knack for cooking, and did a fine job when serving the usual 15 family members. Her favorite television show was TJ Hooker and made a point letting everyone know it was time to watch. She enjoyed a variety of Latino music. When it comes to mothers, she was the best homemaker and mom to all.

Services at CENTRAL CHAPEL, 6158 S. Central Ave., Chicago, IL, where family and friends will gather on Monday, July 27th from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial, 11:30 a.m., at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 4517 S. Ashland Ave., Chicago. Cremation following. PLEASE NOTE THAT COVID19 RESTRICTIONS, FOR MAXIMUM GATHERING OF 50 PERSONS AT A TIME, WILL BE OBSERVED WITH MASKS REQUIRED.
