Obituary for Armando ""El Cadete"" Guerra

Armando Guerra “El Cadete” 66, March 21, 2021 Long time resident of the southwest side of Chicago.
Beloved husband of Maria R. Guerra, and loving father of Jacqueline (Octavio) Garcia, Rodrigo (Belen) Guerra and Christopher (puppy Marley) Guerra. Armando was the proud grandfather of Anthony Garcia, Isabella Garcia and Noah King Guerra and the cherished son of (the late) Jesus Guerra and Maria Salcedo Guerra. Armando had five brothers and 2 sisters for whom he adored.

Armando was born in Mexico. He always had a smile on his face and would give you a thumbs-up. He loved to tell jokes and make his family and friends laugh. He danced to life and lived to the fullest. Being a over the road truck driver for most of his life, he reflected on the beauty of wherever he went. He loved writing short poems to his life adventures, some of which where put to music and played on a radio station for many to enjoy. He fought his way through some of the toughest things in life. He was a fun loving and devoted Father, Pappas and friend to many and will be missed by all.

Memorial Mass Saturday, March 27, 2021, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Star of the Sea Church 6435 South Kilbourn, Chicago. Burial to follow will take place at St. Mary Cemetery, Evergreen Park, Illinois.
