Silva, 86, March 2, 2019, lifetime resident of the south side of Chicago–Back of the Yards neighborhood, beloved husband of the late Lilia Silva, nee Frausto, devoted father of Diana Rodriguez, Aleli “Lica” Palacios, Elizabeth “Liz” Silva and Armando (Gina) Silva, Jr., C.P.D. Sgt.; loving grandfather of Luis (Jovenae) Rodriguez, Stephanie (Abel) Ledesma, Benjamin (Licet) Rodriguez, Antonio (Angie) Palacios, Natalie (Alex) Martinez, Daniel (Lorena) Palacios, Elisabeth (Sam) Caraballo, Jacquelyn Garcia, Amanda Garcia, Aidan Silva and Ava Silva; dear great grandfather of 16 and great great grandfather of 1; preceded in death by his parents, Augustine and Frances Vela Silva; fond brother of Robert Silva (late), Connie Mendez, Dave Silva and Tony Silva; dear uncle of many.
Retired from U.S. Postal Service after 30 years of service as a letter carrier.
