Brenda Luz Garcia, 34, January 25, 2020, Longtime resident of the West Side of Chicago-Little Village neighborhood, beloved daughter of Simon and Adela Garcia; cherished sister of Ramon (Angelina) Garcia, Pamela I. (Raul Alvarez) Garcia, and Marc Garcia. Brenda was a devoted aunt of Abigail, Ariana, Amanda and Aaron.
Brenda underwent many health challenges during her lifetime. She was known to her family as "a warrior," handling illness and surgeries with dignity and patience. Brenda enjoyed school and earned an Associate Degree. She had a passion for music, especially "Reggaeton." Pizza was her favorite meal and her favorite past time was spending time with her nieces and nephew whom she loved dearly.
Services at CENTRAL CHAPEL, 6158 S. Central Ave., Chicago, IL, where family and friends will gather on Wednesday, January 29, 2020, from 3 to 8 p.m. Funeral Thursday, January 30, 2020, 8:45 a.m. at chapel, to Good Shepherd Church, 2735 S. Kolin Ave., Chicago. Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Cremation following.
