I met Carl Ole in 1996 when I started in SAS Commuter as a cabin attendant.
I’ve never met a person with such an amazing personality. Besides having an incredible knowledge of almost everything,
Carl Ole was also kind and caring.
My deepest condolences to his wife, daughters, son, grandchildren and sister.

My Dear Smiling Captain Carl Ole Haakenstad has left us. What a shock to get the message that this force of life. This walking inspiration is no longer among us. I can not count all the hours of conversations in the air, and on layovers that we had. Knowing that I should fly with you was allways a reason to look forward to a workperiod. Kind, intelligent, knowlegeable about a million things. A great Captain and friend.
In the last day hundreds of Carl Oles coworkers from SAS has urged me to be able to contribute for a last greeting from all of us who worked with him. That is done. Rest in peace my friend, we will all remember you with great sadness, but also with foundness and a smile remembering all the good time we shared.

I met Carl as my neighbor when I lived at the Guild, and I knew right away what a great guy he was. He was always so kind and he often extended a dinner invitation. My best memory was when Carl invited the girls and I over for his famous Goulash which was pretty fantastic. We drank wine and swapped stories for hours into the early morning. I was deeply saddened to hear about his untimely passing and like everyone I’m sure, made me think about how precious life really is. My prayers go out Araceli and little Frida and the rest of his family.

I was so incredibly sad and empty inside to hear about Carl Oles' passing. It was a true shock to all of us who had the pleasure of knowing and having him as a colleague. After talking to him just a few weeks earlier, we agreed to finally make time to meet again now that we are both retired.
One can hardly find any person who had such a spark of life, who surely knew how to enjoy life, a true gentleman always with a smile and with a good portion of humor. Your good being, your stories and wonderful behavior will be missed forever. My deepest condolences to his daughters, son, grandchildren and wife.
Rest in peace Carl Ole 🌹🌹🌹
