I have so many memories of Mama Carmen, from playing baseball at the park accross her house with all the cousins, always having food for us when visited, to the family parties in her backyard. My favorite memory is one day as a young teenager all the cousins were downstairs playing wrestling in the basement at her house and we pretty much wrecked the furniture. Mama Carmen came down and was angry at us and told us if we didn't clean everything up, that we were all in huge trouble. She left to go upstairs and we ALL started cleaning as fast as we could, I mean I remember everyone helping each other out with cleaning. After that the basement looked newer than before. We felt so bad that we actually CLEANED. We thought we got away with it since nobody ever got in trouble... Turns out Mama Carmen never ratted us out to our parents. Favorite moment. She loved her grandkids.

From one of your many grandkids,
Love you Mama Carmen

She was always in my life, even as a young child. My cousins and I would always go to her home and she would always have breakfast for us. She had Yago and “workie” as her parrots and they were so mean to us! Haha She was always so caring and always made sure to share everything that she has with anyone who was around her. Her heart was full of love and always ready to brighten anyone up. I’m so blessed Mia got to meet her great grandmother and has so much love for her. She was a strong women and respected by all. I love you so much Mama Carmen.
