Charles Anthony Darnell, 77, born March 10, 1944, died May 31, 2021, lifetime resident of the Southwest Side of Chicago – of West Lawn neighborhood, born and raised in the Back of the Yards neighborhood, devoted Husband of the late Patricia A. Darnell, son of the late Hedwig Halper and the late Louis Thomas Halper; survived by his dearly beloved Son Gregory Darnell and his wife Tina, Daughter Diane Daleus and her husband Charles, Grandson Daniel Reiff, Grand Daughter Darah Conatser her husband Austin and their son Great Grandson James Cole, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and lifelong friends.

Chuck, as he liked to be called, was a career local truck driver. He had a passion for fishing and fast hotrod cars. He was also a lover of animals, specifically cats and raised salt water and fresh water exotic fish.

Services at CENTRAL CHAPEL, 6158 S. Central Ave., Chicago, IL, where family and friends will gather on Monday, June 7, 2021, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Funeral Service Monday, June 7, 2021, at 2 p.m. Private burial, St. Mary Cemetery, Evergreen Park, IL.
