Obituary for Cirilo Oregel

Cirilo Oregel Ravelo, 86, February 10, 2021, longtime resident of the Southwest Side of Chicago-of Clearing neighborhood, dearly beloved husband of the late Alicia Oregel; cherished father of Roberto Oregel, Teresa (Manuel) Landeros, Sergio (Esmeralda) Oregel, Alicia (late Calixto) Vargas, Maria E. (Javier) Yepez, Maria G. Oregel, Diana (Doug) Dlouhy, and Hugo Oregel; devoted and proud grandfather of 20: 12 girls and 8 boys; dear great grandfather of 10: 7 girls and 3 boys; survived by one sister, Mariquita. Preceded in death by her parents, Adolfo Orejel and Trinidad Ravelo, and siblings, Juana, Adolfo, Abigail, Celia, Miguel, Jesus, and Eugenio Orejel. Fond uncle of many.

Cirilo was a hard-working family man. Always putting his family first, above all. He enjoyed spending time gardening, home remodeling, and barbecuing in the summer. And Cirilo could not go a day without his coffee. He will be truly missed by all of his loved ones.

Services at CENTRAL CHAPEL, 6158 S. Central Ave., Chicago, IL, where family and friends will gather on Wednesday, February 17, 2021, from 2 to 7 p.m. Funeral Thursday, February 18, 2021, 8:45 a.m., at chapel, to St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 6435 S. Kilbourn Ave Chicago. Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Burial Resurrection Cemetery.
