66, lifelong Canaryville resident, currently residing in Walkerton, IN, passed away March 5, 2023. Beloved daughter of the late Rose and late John Maher. Devoted wife of Dave Ligue; loving mother of Michelle Ligue (Chris Fortuna), Faith Ligue (Howard Sapata), and David Ligue; cherished grandmother of Kevin Ligue (Anna Womack), Erik Ligue (Brianna Haddox), Kayla Simental (Fernando Gonzalez), Kristen Simental, and MaKenzie Ligue (Daniel Cruz) and great-grandmother of Jordan Ligue, David “DD” Ligue, Liliana Gonzalez, Deklan Ligue, Grace Ligue, Kinslee Ligue, and one on the way, DJ; dearest sister of Theresa Moriarity (Mike Moriarity), Kathleen Dever (Dan Dever), Jacolyn Maher (Dave Trojanowski), and Marlene Maher (Rich Konagel); fond godmother of Dana Ramey, Jillian Moriarity, and Conor O’Banion; also survived by her good friend Nellie Shelton.
Debra enjoyed playing video games and being outdoors. She considered herself a “Country girl!” Most of all, Debra cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral Mass, Monday, March 13, 2023 at 10:00 am at St. Gabriel Church. Cremation has taken place in accordance with her wishes.
