Elizabeth Whitman Shaughnessy, 68, February 8, 2017, recently of Hickory Hills, longtime resident of the south side of Chicago, Bridgeport neighborhood. Dedicated employee of Heinemann's Bakery for nearly 30 years.

World’s greatest mother of Paul Smith, David Smith and Wayne Powers. Beloved daughter of the late John and Brooksie Whitman. Devoted grandmother of Angeline Smith, Ashley Elitzer, Jake Elitzer, David Smith and Sean Smith. Fond great grandmother of Mia Bella Smith and Robert Elmo Elitzer. Dear Sister of the late Donald Whitman and Rebecca Whitman. Cherished aunt of Daniel Whitman, Lara Santiago and the late Beatrice Kalafut.

Services at CENTRAL CHAPEL, 6158 S. Central Ave., Chicago, where family and friends will gather on Sunday, Feb. 12, from 2 to 8 p.m. Funeral Service Monday, Feb. 13, at 10 a.m. Rev. Thomas Hyde, officiating. Burial Resurrection Cemetery.
