Condolence: I am sorry to hear of the passing of Erik Karklins.My condolences to his family.I witnessed his fighting spirit and love for the game of Chess as he played competitively in the Chicago Open well into his nineties.I also recall a comment that he made,that he was attracted to the game of Chess because of the beauty of the game.I feel the same way.Rest in peace Erik you are an inspiration to chess players everywhere as well as anyone who retains a passion throughout their life.
