Age75, passed away November 10, 2022. Resident of Willowbrook, IL. formerly Taylor Street, Chicago.
Beloved husband of Linda Murden (nee Seltz); loving father of Maureen (Brian), Terese, Gina (Jim), and Amy (Tim); proud grandfather of Brittney (Brandon), Tim (Loren), Joseph (Anisa), Shannon, Jack (Catalina), and Tyler; dear great-grandfather of Gambit, Luna, Kennedy, Rylan, Connor, and Layla; fond brother of Marylou (John), Noreen (late Ronald), and Felicia (late Leo); fond brother-in-law of Terry (late Fred), cherished uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Eugene and Concetta Murden.
Eugene was a proud United States Marine Veteran during Vietnam. He enjoyed traveling to Puerto Vallarta every winter, his “Paradise” with great friends, as well as frequent trips to Las Vegas. He was a devout Cubs fan.
Visitation Monday, November 14, 2022 from 3-8 pm at Modell Funeral Home, 7710 S. Cass Ave, Darien, IL. Funeral Tuesday, November 15, 2022 with chapel prayers at 10:15 am to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 8404 S. Cass Ave, Darien, IL 60561 for a 11 am Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with full military honors Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL at 2 pm.
