Eugene “Gene” Witowski
71, longtime resident South Side of Chicago, Brighton Park neighborhood, January 14, 2022. Loving father of Eric (Greta) Witowski, Brad (Erica) Witowski, Adam (Gina) Witowski, Nathan (Veronica) Witowski, and Tracy (Samuel) Witowski; cherished Dziadziu of Gabriela, Amelia, Isaac, and Claire; dearest brother of Ken (Jeannine) Witowski, Pat (Tom) Cegielski, Cindy Witowski, and Carol Zilinskas; treasured god-father of Scott Cegielski; also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Jean Witowski nee Niemiec, and his furry companion Stewie.
Gene enjoyed a variety of music, and was a former choir singer. He loved playing softball, as was known to many as the “Tripler!”
Services will be held at CENTRAL CHAPEL, 6158 S. Central Ave., Chicago, IL, where family and friends will gather on Friday, January 21, 2022 from 3 to 8 p.m. Funeral service 6:00 p.m. Cremation following in accordance with his wishes. For those attending services, MASKS REQUIRED.
