Gene Ryan
73, lifelong Canaryville resident, currently residing in Oak Lawn, passed away March 16, 2023. Beloved son of the late John R. Ryan Sr. and late Frances Ryan (nee Shaputis). Gene is survived by the love of his life Diane McNulty; 2 loving siblings John Ryan Jr. and Kathleen Ryan; and many dear nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
He was a fun-loving furry dad to his late dogs, Smooch, Peach, and Trouble.
Gene was a proud Vietnam Army Veteran. He was an avid Harley Davidson Motorcycle rider and lifetime HOG member. Gene enjoyed a variety of different music, and performed in a band in his younger years.
Services at McInerney Central Chapel, 4635 S. Wallace Street, Chicago, IL 60609 on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 from 3-8 pm. Funeral Wednesday, March 22, 2023 with chapel prayers at 9am to st. Gabriel Church, 600 W. 45th St., Chicago for a 10 am Mass of Christian Burial. Interment St. Mary Cemetery.
