Obituary for Gonzalo Paz
Gonzalo Paz, 87, November 12, 2020, a 55 year resident of the Southwest Side of Chicago-Clearing neighborhood, loving husband of Gracia Medina Paz; cherished father of Eucario Paz, Hector Paz, Maria Lopez, Gonzalo Paz, Jr., Rafael Paz, Armando Paz, Jose R. Paz, Julia Sandoval, and Rogelio Paz. Gonzalo was an adored grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great grandfather. He was a devoted brother of Caritina Paz, the late Stella Paz, the late Ana Maria Valdez and the late Hermelinda Paz. He is preceded in death by his late parents, Eucario and Julia Ochoa Paz. Gonzalo will be a sorely missed uncle and friend.
Gonzalo was a hard working man. He loved gardening and taking care of his lawn. Sunday dinners with family, followed by handing out “allowances” for work well done, will be a cherished and long lasting memory for all. More than anything, Gonzalo enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and family. He loved each and every one!
Services at CENTRAL CHAPEL, 6158 S. Central Ave., Chicago, IL, where family and friends will gather on Wednesday, November 18, 2020, from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral Service Thursday, November 19, 2020, at 10 a.m. Deacon Manuel Salgado, officiating. Burial Fairmount Willow Hills Memorial Park, Willow Springs, IL.
