Obituary for Jaime H. Herrera
Jaime H. Herrera, 64, March 14, 2021, longtime resident of the Southwest Side of Chicago, West Lawn neighborhood. He is survived by his beloved companion, Christine Wachewicz; loving father of Katie (Roy) Ramirez, Xavier Herrera, Santiago (Jessica) Barrera, Matthew (Fatima) Barrera, Vanessa Hernandez, and Jasmin Hernandez; cherished grandfather of 9; also survived by a host of dear siblings. Jaime was preceded in death by his parents, Francisco Herrera Murillo and Tomasa Sandoval Eledesma. .
Jaime was a mechanic, and avid car enthusiast. His family described him as a kind-hearted and generous person, who was always willing to help others. He was deeply loved and respected by all who knew him. Jaime will always be remembered and never forgotten.
Services at CENTRAL CHAPEL, 6158 S. Central Ave., Chicago, where family and friends will gather on Friday, March 19, 2021, from 3 to 7 p.m. Funeral Saturday, March 20, 2021 8:15 a.m., at chapel, to St. Nicholas of Tolentine Church, 6200 S. Lawndale Ave., Chicago, IL. Mass of Christian Burial 9:30 a.m. Burial Mount Carmel Cemetery, Hillside.
