John R. Christin
64, February 20, 2022, longtime resident of the South Side of Chicago, Clearing neighborhood. Beloved husband of Deborah Christin nee Kruse; loving father of Brittany and Jacqueline Christin; cherished grandfather of Liliana and Kaleb; treasured brother of Catherine Manno (Robert Kutinac), Mary (Pete) Winkler, Sue (Ken) Mele, and Claudia Borah (late George Vessely); fond uncle to numerous loving nieces and nephews, and dear friend to many.
John was preceded in death by his parents John and Roberta Christin nee Wessel, and siblings Kevin Christin, Tom Christin, and Margie Christin.
John retired from Midwest Generation Electrical Company, formerly Com-Ed. He was a diehard Chicago Bears fan, and avid gambler. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends at get-togethers
and holiday parties. He will be deeply missed and never forgotten by all who knew him!
Services will be held at CENTRAL CHAPEL, 6158 S. Central Ave., Chicago, IL, where family and friends will gather on Sunday, March 6, 2022 from 2 to 6 p.m. Prayer Service 5:00 p.m. Cremation has taken place in accordance with his wishes. For those attending services, MASK ARE REQUIRED.
