Obituary for John M. Dietz
John M. Dietz, 58, February 1, 2020, longtime resident of the Southwest Side of Chicago, Garfield Ridge neighborhood, devoted father of Natalie, Malarie, Daniel and Jonilynn; beloved son of the Joan R. Dietz and the late John E. Dietz. John was the caring brother of Deborah and proud “papa” of 10.; and fun- loving uncle of one niece, one nephew, and one great nephew.
He was the furry “papa” of canine pup mamacita. The pup having lost a leg, was still very energetic and loved going for walks with John. Many wondered who was walking who! He was a friend to many and will be missed by all.
John loved baseball and was a huge Chicago Cubs fan. His favorite dish was pizza, quite possibly having enjoyed every pizza in the Chicago area! He was a music lover, especially The Rolling Stones. John had a few favorite snacks: Coca-Cola, strawberry Twizlers and nothing but Lays Potato Chips would he have in the house.
Services at CENTRAL CHAPEL, 6158 S. Central Ave., Chicago, where family and friends will gather on Tuesday, February 4, 2020, from 3 to 8 p.m. Funeral Service Wednesday, February 5, 2020, at 10 a.m. Burial Woodlawn Cemetery, Forest Park, IL.
