Obituary for Jose Barrera III
Jose Barrera III, 31, passed away unexpectedly on September 29, 2022. Loving husband of Gloria Rodriguez; devoted father of Jose Barrera IV, Damian Barrera, Angelica Barrera, and Athena Barrera; beloved son of Patricia Medina and Isaias Aguirre Sr.; cherished grand-son of Yolanda and Jose Loera and Natalia and Rufino Aguirre; treasured brother of the late Marialena “Nena” Barrera, Rene Aguirre, Veronica Padron, Jazmine Barrera, Isabel Aguirre, Vivianna Aguirre, Isaias Aguirre Jr., and Victoria Rodriguez; dearest nephew of aunts and uncles; also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
Jose enjoyed cooking, dancing, and playing video-games. His family described him as the “Life of the Party!” “You always knew when Jose was around, with his loud, outgoing, and obnoxious, personality!” Most of all, Jose’s pride and joy was his family. He will always be remembered and never forgotten.He will be always remembered as he was one of the MOST outstanding members in his community.
Visitation at CENTRAL CHAPEL, 6158 S. Central Ave., Chicago, IL, Saturday, October 15, 2022 where family and friends will gather from 4 to 9 p.m. Prayer service 6 p.m. Cremation will follow in accordance with Jose’s wishes. Burial of Jose's cremains will take place on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 1 p.m. at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 1400 S. Wolf Rd., HIllside, IL. For those attending services, MASK WEARING IS ENCOURAGED.
