Julia Catherine Stromidlo, 55, November 18, 2020, longtime resident of the Southwest Side of Chicago– West Lawn and Garfield Ridge neighborhoods, cherished mother of Matthew B. Stromidlo and Eve S. Stromidlo; loving daughter of Barbara S. Kreischer Jasiak and the late Stanley J. Jasiak; adored sister of Angela (Calvin) Mundt, Patrick Carver, Kelly Altobelli, Mary (David) Carver-Hallman, Daniel (Kathy) Carver, Shirley Jasiak, Stanley (Suzanne) Jasiak, and the late John Thomas Jasiak. Julia was a proud godmother of Joseph Altobelli, Caroline Jasiak, and Marcus Cymerman.
Julia worked for many years as a Food Service Manager for the Chicago Public School System. She loved all varieties of music, especially Queen and the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. One of her favorite restaurants was Riverside for Polish cuisine. Julia loved to host Easter, some say it was her favorite holiday. She was a generous and loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to all. One of Julia’ s favorite past times was shopping, especially with her daughter, Eve. Starfish were a special and unique connection for this mother and daughter team. Never being far from one another. Matthew enjoyed watching HGTV with his mom. They would plan how they would remodel the house. They loved to talk about traveling, especially about going to Hawaii to live.
