Obituary for Lorie J. Barrera
Lorie J. Barrera 56, March 30, 2022, resident of the Garfield Ridge neighborhood - Southwest side of Chicago. Beloved companion for many years to Robert Marcum. Devoted sister of Natividad Daniel (Kathy) Barrera, Yolanda (Salvador) Gonzalez, Linda (Edward) Rivera, the late Rita (Geraldo) Pena and Lydia (Megan) Barrera. Loving daughter of the late Natividad and Lydia S. (nee' Godinez) Barrera.
Lorie was a fun loving devoted aunt of many nieces and nephews. She loved Hispanic music, and tunes from the 70's, 80's and 90's. Lorie enjoyed watching movies and had several favorite TV programs, when she was not working on her crossword puzzles.
Memorial Services will be held at CENTRAL CHAPEL, 6158 S. Central Ave., Chicago, IL, where family and friends will gather on Friday, April 8 , 3 to 8 p.m.
Cremation has taken place in accordance with Lorie’s wishes. Private burial St. Mary Cemetery.
