Obituary for Luciene D. Herbeck

Luciene Diane Herbeck., nee Rimsza 87, of Chicago, passed away on July 8, 2022. Beloved wife of the late Edward Lawrence Herbeck Jr,; loving mother of Elaine Macias, Diane Herbeck (Dickson Diamond, MD), Edward Herbeck, Ill (Mark Lavin), Corrine (James) Rodriguez, Tony Herbeck, Dan Herbeck and Thom (Gracie) Herbeck; cherished grandmother of Holly, Alex, Adriana, Jacob, Lucas, Daniel, Otto and Penny; dearest sister of the late Vivian (Joe) Liszek, the late Tony Rimsza, and the late Ronald Rimsza; dear sister in law of Jeanne (John Harrington) Caliendo and the late Lucille (the late Charles) Fitzpatrick. Fond aunt and friend to many.

Luciene loved to swim, do crossword puzzles, watch the White Sox and spend time with her family. Everyone who entered her home felt welcomed. The best way to honor her is to treat every person we meet the way she treated us, with kindness, love, and patience.

Visitation will be held at CENTRAL CHAPEL, 6158 S. Central Ave., Chicago, IL, where family and friends will gather on Thursday, July 14, 2022 from 3 to 9 p.m.

Funeral Friday, July 15th, 2022. The family will meet for a 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Richard Catholic Church, 5032 S. Kostner Ave, Chicago. Burial Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W. Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL. at 12:30 p.m. Those attending the burial, are asked to gather at the cemetery. No formal funeral procession to the cemetery.
