Luis Ignacio Garcia “Uncle Lou”
59, lifelong resident of Chicago’s Southside, Archer Heights neighborhood, formerly of Canaryville, passed away March 31, 2023. Beloved son of Ruben and the late Alvina Garcia (Villanueva); loving brother of Roberto (Janet) Hernandez, Fernando (Kathy) Garcia, and Rosalinda Garcia; dearest uncle of Joseph, Andrew (Vanessa), Thomas (Brooke), Justin, Julianna, and Daniel and fond great-uncle to many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Lou admired trucks. He was a huge fan of “Big Blue!” He was a fast car enthusiast, and enjoyed building model car kits and drawing. Lou also enjoyed fishing and collected all types of fishing lures. He will be missed for his contagious smile and cheerful personality.
Services at McInerney Central Chapel, 4635 S. Wallace Street, Chicago, IL 60609 on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 from 8am until time of chapel prayers at 9:45 am. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 am at St. Gabriel Church, 600 W. 45th St., Chicago. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
