Obituary for Lynn Berten

Lynn Mary Berten (Hall) 85, April 4, 2024. Devoted wife to the late Bernard Berten; beloved daughter of the late James and Phyllis Hall (Barrett); cherished mother of Brenda Falzone and Dave (Karen Tucci) Berten; adored grandmother of Rhiannon (Benjamin) Buehne, Rachel (Mark) Matthews, Rebecca (Michael) Galen, Zachary Berten, and Dylan Berten; dearest great grandmother of Eva, Charlotte, and Joseph; loving sister to Marlene (late James) Suarez, Barry (Helen) Hall, and Hope (late Norman) Bastin; also survived by numerous fond nieces, nephews, sister-in-law Karen (Michael) Looney, and brother-in-law Richard (Patricia) Berten, and friends.


She was preceded in death by her father-in-law Bernard Berten and mother-in-law Adele Berten.

Lynn was known for her many kind attributes. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. Known to have the kindest of hearts, she was committed to be a role model to her family. One of the many things Lynn was excellent at was baking, and everyone knew her for just that. She was a devout Catholic and dedicated parishioner of Most Holy Redeemer Church in Evergreen Park, where she belonged for over 60 years. She will be dearly missed by all.

Visitation at CENTRAL CHAPEL, 6158 S. Central Avenue, Chicago, IL on Monday, April 8, 2024 3 8 pm. Funeral Tuesday, April 9, 2024 9:15 am at funeral home, to Most Holy Redeemer Church, 9525 Lawndale Ave, Evergreen Park for an 10:30 am Mass of Catholic Burial. Interment St. Mary Cemetery.
