Obituary for Madel Carmen Cardenas Hernandez

Madel Carmen Cardenas Hernandez 45, January 24, 2021 long time resident of the Southwest Side of Chicago-Central Stickney neighborhood, beloved wife of Armando Hernandez; cherished mother of Armando and Christopher; loving daughter of the late Maximiliano and Josefina Cardenas; devoted sister of 5 brothers and 5 sisters.

Madel was a loving and friendly person. She was considered a “sister” by her sister in laws’, a loving aunt and friend to all who knew her. A favorite past time of hers was gardening. Madel loved being outside and in her garden. She enjoyed cooking and family dinners. The most important part of life was her family. Especially her two sons.

Services at CENTRAL CHAPEL, 6158 S. Central Ave., Chicago, IL, where family and friends will gather on Monday, February 1, 2021, from 3 to 7 p.m. Funeral Tuesday, chapel prayers at 8:30 a.m., to Good Shepherd Church, 2735 South Kolin Avenue, Chicago. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial Woodlawn Memorial Park, Forest Park, IL.
