Manuel Jose Betancur, 78, April 2, 2017, longtime resident of the southwest side of Chicago-West Lawn neighborhood; beloved husband of the late Maria R.; devoted father of Gloria Patricia (Aldemar) Leon, Nilton Freddie Betancur and Edison Ferney Betancur; loving grandfather of Kevin Valencia, Grisselle Valencia, Ana Maria Betancur, Isabella Betancur, Camilo Betancur, Nilton Manuel Betancur, Juan Manuel Betancur, George Betancur, Alejandro Betancur and Mauricio Alejandro.
Services at CENTRAL CHAPEL, 6158 S. Central Ave., Chicago, where family and friends will be received on Wednesday, April 5, from 2 to 8 p.m. Funeral Thursday, April 6, 9 a.m., chapel prayers, to St. Gall Church, 5500 S. Kedzie Ave., Chicago. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial Resurrection Cemetery.
