Manuel Quijano-Cuenca, 79, May 13, 2021, longtime resident of the West Side of Chicago- Pilsen neighborhood, dearly beloved husband of Raquel Quijano; devoted father of Paula (Javier) Urbina, Ernesto Quijano, Eduardo (Magdalena) Quijano, Jessica (Abraham) Carlos, and Manuel Quijano, Jr.; loving grandfather of Vanessa Urbina, Astrid (Javier) Garcia, Eduardo Quijano, Jr., Iris Quijano, Emiliano Quijano, Angelica Urbina, and Liana Carlos; fond great grandfather of Adeline Garcia, Carlos Gracia, and Angelo Gracia; devoted brother, uncle, and friend.
Manuel loved music and enjoyed composing lyrics about his hometown. He also loved to watch TV, especially old westerns with John Wayne.
Services at CENTRAL CHAPEL, 6158 S. Central Ave., Chicago, IL, where family and friends will gather on Wednesday, May 19, 2021, from 3 to 7 p.m. Funeral Thursday, May 20, 2021, 9 a.m., at chapel, to St. Procopius Church, 1218 W.18th St., at Allport Ave., Chicago. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. Burial Resurrection Cemetery.
