Obituary for Margaret ""Peggy"" Zanin
Margaret “Peggy” Zanin (Hermle) 72, lifelong Canaryville resident, passed away unexpectedly, March 27, 2023. Beloved wife of 54 years to Martin “Mickey” Zanin (Ret. CFD); loving mother of Michael (Kristi) Zanin, Raymond (Nina) Zanin, Kevin (Anna) Zanin, and Christine Zanin; cherished Mammo of Katie, Michael, Kevin, Rayna, and Matthew Zanin; dearest sister of Diane (Patrick, Ret.CFD) Fitzpatrick and Joseph (Eileen) Hermle; also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents Raymond Hermle and Mary Harmon (Sheehan), and siblings Ray Hermle and Loretta Arlowe.
Peggy loved local trips to the casino and playing bingo with family and friends. She cherished time spent with her family, especially attending her children and grandchildren’s sporting events.
Services at McInerney Central Chapel, 4635 S. Wallace Street, Chicago, IL 60609 on Friday, March 31, 2023 from 3-8 pm. Funeral Saturday, April 1, 2023 with chapel prayers at 8:45am to St. Gabriel Church, 600 W. 45th St., Chicago for a 9:30 am Mass of Christian Burial. Interment St. Mary Cemetery, Evergreen Park, Illinois.
