Gomez, nee Catala, 85, October 16, 2018, longtime resident of the south side of Chicago-Bridgeport neighborhood, beloved wife of the late Luis Gomez; devoted mother of the late Lydia Gomez; loving grandmother of Gina Sanchez, Elina Sanchez, and Oscar Sanchez, Jr.; dear great grandmother of Anthony Macias, Annika Macias, Jesus Macias, Jr., Jacqueline Macias, Miguel Hechavarria, and Alexis Hechavarria; fond great great grandmother of Jaylen Evangelista, Julian Evangelista and Lydia Macias.
Resting at CENTRAL CHAPEL, 6158 S. Central Ave., Chicago, on Tuesday, Oct. 23, from 2 to 8 p.m. Funeral Wednesday, Oct. 24, 9:15 a.m., at chapel, to St. Barbara Church, 2859 S. Throop St., Chicago. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. Burial Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
