Obituary for Maria de Jesus Ruiz (Molina)

Maria de Jesus Ruiz (Molina), 41, June 25, 2020, of the Southwest Side of Chicago- Ashburn neighborhood, beloved wife of Jose Molina; adored mother of Alfredo and Angela Molina; cherished daughter of Jesus Ruiz and the late Maria Ruiz; devoted sister of Juan, Loena, Andres, Patricia, Isabel, Victoria and Jesse. Maria was a most lovely aunt and dear friend to many.

Maria was born in Mexico and has been a resident of the Ashburn Neighborhood since 1990. She was a chef/server at the University of Chicago Food Service Department. Maria had a passion for cooking and eating. Mexican food, her favorite. She enjoyed listening to romantic music and taking long walks. She was known as a fun-loving and “talkative” lady! She will be missed by all.

Services at CENTRAL CHAPEL, 6158 S. Central Ave., Chicago, IL, where family and friends will gather on Sunday, June 28, 2020, from 1 to 7 p.m. PLEASE NOTE THAT COVID19 RESTRICTIONS FOR MAXIMUM GATHERING, 50 PERSONS AT A TIME, WILL BE OBSERVED WITH MASKS REQUIRED.

Funeral Monday, June 29, 2020, 9:30 a.m., at chapel, to Assumption B.V.M. Church, 2434 S. California Ave., Chicago. Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Rev. Jason Malave, officiating. Private burial St. Mary Cemetery, Evergreen Park, IL. PLEASE NOTE THAT COVID19 RESTRICTIONS FOR MAXIMUM GATHERING AT CHURCH is 50 PERSONS.
