MARJORIE JOSEPH OBITUARY

Marjorie lived a long and wonderful life. She was born in Canada and came to this country as a young girl. She learned to drive as a teenager when her mother insisted she drive the family home from a picnic where her father was over served. With a passion belying her petite frame, she loved animals, babies, jewelry, chocolate and gambling—not necessarily in that order. A beautiful woman, Margie enchanted everyone who knew her. Her most interesting job was running the coat check at Don the Beachcomber’s.

In 1968, she married the love of her life, Edward Joseph. She was a long time member of Carter Westminster Presbyterian Church and a former elder and choir member of that congregation.

She is survived by four stepchildren, five nieces and nephews, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great nieces and a great nephew, all of whom will find life considerably less interesting without her. She left this life on February 18, 2021 to join her beloved Eddie in a better one.

In lieu of services, please light a candle and raise a toast with your favorite beverage to an amazing woman.

Marjorie was laid to rest with her husband at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
