Mary K. Neuman
passed away on September 23,2022at the age of 79. She was born on November
27,1942 to parents of the late John and Adeline ( née Ringawa) in Glen Lyon
Pennsylvania. She was a longtime resident of the South side of Chicago,
Canaryville neighborhood. Beloved companion of the late Rudolph Rode; Devoted
mother of Nina (Ray) Zanin, and Joseph Neuman; cherished grandmother of Alisia
Neuman (Ryan Shew), Ruben Neuman, and Rayna Zanin; great-grandmother of
Emily Shew; Beloved sister of the late John Hanlon, Matthew (Sandy) Hanlon, and
Rose Ann Perkowski (Tony Krupinski); devoted daughter in-law to the late
Concepcion Zavala (née Barrera); dear sister in-law to Rene (Lois) Munguia and
Ruby (George) Brabbs. Survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews.
Mary enjoyed walking and socializing with people throughout the neighborhood.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and
friend. She was known to many for her caregiving personality and will be deeply
missed by all who knew her.
Services at McInerney Central Chapel, 4635 S. Wallace St., Chicago, Illinois where family and
friends will gather on Friday, September 30, 2022 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral service Saturday, October 1, 2022 with chapel prayers at 9:15 a.m. to St. Gabriel Church for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
