Obituary for Mary Villafan

Mary Villafan (nee Chavez), 95, June 13, 2022 resident of the Southwest Side of Chicago, Garfield Ridge neighborhood. Beloved wife of the Late Carlos Villafan. Cherished mother of the late Carl (Mary) Villafan, Lori (Danny) Angelo, Diane (Jim) Pikowski, and the late Albert Villafan. She was the adored grandmother of Tony (Scott) Villafan, Phillip Villafan, Kathy (Abby) Chavez, Brian (Jenny) Villafan, Carla (Tim) Vota, Matt (Christine) Pikowski, Danielle Angelo, Marty Angelo, and Sara (Ryan) Vota; and Great-grandmother of Madison, Noah, Ian, Andrew, Layla, Carley and Alaina; also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents the Late Jose and Rosa Chavez (nee Mendoza); and her siblings, the late Vicky, late Phyllis, late Marty, late Nicky and the late Joey.

Mary loved gardening and reading. She would relax by crocheting and completing crossword puzzles. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and will be missed by all her knew her.

Visitation will be held at CENTRAL CHAPEL, 6158 S. Central Ave., Chicago, IL, where family and friends will gather on Friday, June 17th, 2022 3 to 8 p.m. Funeral Saturday, June 18th, 2022 8:45 a.m. at Funeral Home. 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Symphorosa Church 62nd and Austin Ave., Chicago, Il. Burial Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Hillside, Illinois
