Obituary for MaryAnn T. Metke

MaryAnn T. Metke 77, December 3, 2021 long time resident 55, years, of the Southwest side of Chicago, Clearing neighborhood. Beloved wife of John J. Metke, and “second mom” to Darlene (Ken) Cleghorn, Rena (Tom) Paylo and Sandra (Wayne) Zych. Fond second grandmother of Jonathan Metke, Ryan and Matthew Zych and Matthew and Joanna Cleghorn. Devoted sister of Rose (the late Frank) Kureja and Len (Ann) Stawoney. Cherished daughter of the late Walter J. And Lottie nee Wozniak Stawoney. Fun loving aunt and friend to many.

MaryAnn was married to John for 45 years. She loved to cook and took great joy into cooking whatever her family desired. She was a very caring lady. MaryAnn loved to fish and go on shopping excursions. She was a lover of all animals, especially her dog Sheba. She and John were inseperable. They enjoyed life’s travels near and far together. Above all, MaryAnn loved spending time with her family, grandchildren, and being called Mimaw!

Services will be held at CENTRAL CHAPEL, 6158 S. Central Ave., Chicago, IL, where family and friends will gather on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 from 3 to 8 p.m.. Funeral Thursday, December 9, 2021 Chapel prayers at 8:45 a.m. Funeral Mass 10:00 a.m. at Rene Goupil Church, Chicago, Illinois. Burial Resurrection Cemetery. For those attending services, MASKS
REQUIRED.
