Melissa Adriana Rodriguez, 32 April 25, 2021 of the Chicago, Garfield Ridge neighborhood. Loving partner and life companion of Andreas Ruiz. Cherished mother of Emily, Emilio and Ella Ruiz. Beloved daughter of Antonio and Sanjuana (Ramirez) Rodriguez. Devoted sister of Juan C. (Erika) Rodriguez, Aracely (Mark) Knapp, Israel Rodriguez, Noemi Rodriguez, Stephanie (Benito) Oros, Ulysses Rodriguez, and Esteban (Karen) Rodriguez. Melissa was a loving aunt and friend to many.
Melissa loved outdoor activities such as hiking and camping. She was a strong swimmer and loved the water. Family outings were known as “little adventures”. She enjoyed reading and listening to a variety of music. As a nurse, she was a compassionate and caring caretaker. Her greatest joy was being a mom. She was a FANTASTIC MOTHER.
Services at CENTRAL CHAPEL, 6158 S. Central Ave., Chicago, IL, where family and friends will gather on Friday, April 30, 2021, from 3 to 7 p.m. Funeral Saturday, May 1, 2021, 10 a.m., at chapel, to St. Gall Church, 5500 S. Kedzie Ave., Chicago. Mass of Christian Burial 11:30 a.m. Burial Resurrection Cemetery.
