Nellie Fernandez, 93, November 11, 2021 long time resident of the Little Village Neighborhood, Southwest side of Chicago. Beloved mother of the late Andrew (late Judith) Fernandez, Lorenzo (Kathy) Fernandez and Marisella (late Lowell L.) Dahmen. Devoted daughter of the Late Andrew and Adela Figeroa. Fond sister of Theresa (George ) Litman and Zoila (late Robert) Perry. Nellie was the adored grandmother of Michael and Christopher Fernandez and great-grandmother of Colby Fernandez, Emma Fernandez and Michael Fernandez. She was a fun loving and loyal friend and aunt to many.
Nellie was a World Traveler. She loved to travel with family and friends. She was an advid book reader, especially novels and mystery books. She was an excellent cook! Nellie had a love for music and loved to follow in dance. She enjoyed the outdoors, especially yard and garden work.
Services will be held at CENTRAL CHAPEL, 6158 S. Central Ave., Chicago, IL, where family and friends will gather on Thursday, November 18, 2021 from 3 to 7 p.m.. Funeral Service at 4 p.m. Cremation will follow in accordance with Nellie’s wishes. For those attending services, MASKS REQUIRED.
