Patti Maliga, passed away Monday, October 26, 2020, at their home in Chicago, Illinois. Patti was born on March 20, 1956 in Elgin, Il. She was the daughter of Samuel Jones and the late Barbara Jones.
Patti Was a 1977 graduate of South East Missouri State University with a degree in Mathematics. While working at Sears in the Sears Tower in Chicago she met the love of her life, Kenneth Maliga, whom she married on January 30, 1982 at Mahogany Hill Villa in Montego Bay, Jamaica. They enjoyed over 38 happy years of marriage.
Patti and Ken began their lives together in Chicago, then Oregon, Texas, St. Croix USVI and Palm Springs, CA, ultimately coming full circle back to Chicago. They spent many of their years together traveling abroad and exploring the world. Other places they lived included Amsterdam, Paris, Barcelona, and London. Patti had a passion for all living things, including exotic tropical plants. She and Ken enjoyed an adventurous life few can imagine and made it a point to visit beautiful gardens and ancient sites all over the world.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Kenneth, sisters Kathy Roberson of Tucson, Az, and Judy Cox-Henderson (Don) of DeKalb, IL and Thomas Jones of Marshall, Mn. Her memory will be treasured by all those close to her.
