Obituary for Ramona Treto

Ramona Treto, 56, August 28, 2020, Born in East Chicago, Indiana, spending most of her life living in Chicago, resident of the Southwest Side- Garfield Ridge neighborhood for the past 15 years. Loving wife of Fidencico Treto, Sr.; cherished mother of the late Salvador Valenzuela, the late Bobby Treto, Fidencio Treto, Jr. (Krystle) and Maria (Oliver Banks) Treto; proud grandmother of Bryana, Annabelle, Monica, Bobby, Jose, Autumn, Arianna, Salvador and Aila; devoted sister of Bertha Torres, the late Susan (Vicente) Tinoco, Martha Valenzuela, Fernando Valenzuela, Jr., Veronica (Isidro) Torres, Leticia Valenzuela and Juan Valenzuela. Preceded in death by her parents, Fernando Valenzuela and Maria Elena Hernandez; devoted aunt and friend to many.

Ramona enjoyed watching movies, specially Harry Potter, enjoyed reading books, loved animals, with a special fondness for elephants and birds. Ramona had the “green thumb” in her family, filling her home with plants and flowers for all to enjoy. Ramona’s greatest joy was being a grandmother to her grandchildren. Ramona was a bus driver by occupation. She enjoyed caring for her school children’s safe arrivals.

Services at CENTRAL CHAPEL, 6158 S. Central Ave., Chicago, where family and friends will gather on Friday, September 4, 2020, from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. Funeral Service at 6 p.m., with wake continuing until 7 p.m. Cremation following. For those attending services, PLEASE NOTE THAT COVID19 RESTRICTIONS WILL BE OBSERVED FOR MAXIMUM GATHERING, 50 PERSON AT A TIME, WITH MASKS REQUIRED.
