Obituary for Raquel Velazquez
Raquel Velazquez,April 25, 2022, resident of South Side of Chicago.. Beloved mother of Elena Velazquez, Raquel (Guillermo) Martinez and Marco Garcia. The adored grandmother of Rafael, Damian, Guillermo Jr., Citlalli, Mia, Kassandra , Aishah, Iris, and Marco Jr., great-grandmother of Amelia, and great-grand dog Dexter. Devoted sister of the late Lucina Limon, Yolanda, Andres, Alfredo,, Maria, Abraham and Rosario. She was the loving daughter of the late Pedro and Catalina (nee Perez) Velazquez.
Raquel was an avid joker. She loved gardening, cooking and sewing. Raquel was quite proud of being the “Family Seamstress", having family and friends enjoy her creations. She was a fun loving aunt and friend to many and will be missed by all.
Services will be held at Central Chapel, 6158 S. Central Ave., Chicago, where family and friends will gather on Sunday, May 1, 2022 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Funeral Monday , May 2, 2022 10 a.m.at funeral home. Burial St. Mary Cemetery,Evergreen Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the family would be appreciated.
