Raymond D. Berry, Jr., 48, August 16, 2019, lifelong resident of Chicago, Hyde Park community. Cherished husband of Veronica Berry, nee Ortiz. Adored father of Laila. Beloved son of Raymond D. Berry, Sr., and Paula S. Boyd Berry. Proud brother of Rashone Berry, Erick Berry and Karyn Berry.
Raymond was a devoted uncle to many nieces and nephews. He enjoyed long bike rides with his family, playing, coaching and watching basketball. In his last years he became the proud owner of DeMichael’s Market where he served customers who soon became friends.
Services at McINERNEY CENTRAL CHAPEL, 4635 South Wallace., Chicago, IL, where family and friends will gather on Wednesday, August 21, 2019, from 3 to 8 p.m. Funeral Service Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at 6 p.m. Cremation following in accordance with his wishes.
