90, lifelong resident of Chicago, February 5, 2023. Beloved husband of 66 years to Doris Johnson (Leonard); loving father of Raymond Jr. (Barbara) Johnson and Tammy (Michael) Barna; cherished grandfather of Raymond III (Lindsay) Johnson, Natalie Johnson, Christopher Barna, Mitchell Barna, and Amanda (Brady) Wilkin, and great-grandfather of Raymond IV Johnson; also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews; and beloved furry animals Macie, Sadie, Appa, Meowzer. Ray enjoyed hearing stories and talking about his grandson Mitch's chickens, whose names are Marigold, Susan, Henrietta, Ginger, Honey, and Atlas.
He was preceded in death by his parents Axel and Jessie Johnson (Sessler); and siblings James (late Alice) Johnson, Ellen (late Sam) Cardinal, Lorraine (late Tom) Jordan, Alice (late Norm) Saenger, Grace (late Ralph) LoCoco, George (late Mary) Johnson.
Raymond enjoyed watching old time movies and spending time with his family.
