Obituary for Richard Alvado Aleman

Richard Alvado Aleman, 66, longtime resident of Chicago, most recently of the Brighton Park neighborhood and formerly of Pilsen, passed away February 25, 2019. Beloved husband of Roxanne T., nee Galvan; loving father of Danielle (Jason) Acevedo, Michelle Flores, Eric Ricardo Aleman; devoted son of Esther Soto and the late Albert Aleman; cherished grandfather of Richard, Cesar, Christian, Alexander, Leia, Rose, Aubrey, Liliana, Isabell, Caleb, Temujin, Sophia, Cuyler and Mandy; dearest brother of Bertha (Bob) Hurst, Patrick (Imelda) Aleman, Vincent (Claudia) Escimilla, Lorraine (Buddy) Redden, Joseph Aleman (Kim Lake) and the late Julia Delgado and Albert Aleman; fond uncle and great uncle of many.

Richard loved watching western movies and horses, having owned one at one time. He also enjoyed fishing and was a great debater. He frequently challenged others in debating any number of topics, including politics. Richard was passionate about his family, especially his grandchildren. He was deeply loved by all who knew him and will be profoundly missed.

Services at CENTRAL FUNERAL, 6158 S. Central Ave., Chicago, where family and friends will gather on Friday, March 1, from 3 to 8 p.m. Funeral Saturday, 8:30 a.m., at chapel, to St. Paul Church, 2127 W. 22nd Place, Chicago. Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Cremation will take place privately on Monday, March 4, 2019.
