Rita Kleidon, R.N., nee Adelphia, 51, passed November 20, 2019, surrounded by family. Lifetime resident of the South Side of Chicago, dearly beloved wife of Matthew S. Kleidon; cherished daughter of Leroy J. and Donna G. (Smith) Adelphia, Sr.; loving sister of Robert (Gail) Adelphia, Leroy (Adrienne) Adelphia, Jr., Russell (JoJo) Adelphia, and Elizabeth (R.J.) Swett; devoted aunt of Dakota and Luke Adelphia, Charlotte Rose Adelphia, Caleb and Hayden Swett; several loving aunts and uncles and way more loving cousins also survive. She had several "my's" that were also special to her.
Rita was the Assistant Director of Nursing at Woodbridge Nursing Pavilion in Logan Square. Rita’s natural gift was always serving people which was exemplified through mentoring and being preceptor to many nurses sharing the wisdom and experience that she gained over the years. Rita was very conscientious in serving with dignity, respect and true compassion. Rita’s door was always open and everyone was welcome to anything in her home where food, drink, and companionship were abundant. Rita leaves countless memories with everyone blessed to be in her company and there will forever be a void in their lives. Rita lived in the moment and cherished every minute.
Services at McINERNEY CENTRAL CHAPEL, 4635 S.
