Roger A. Dickman
83, Colon, MI, formerly of South Side of Chicago, Canaryville neighborhood, passed away September 21, 2022. Beloved son of the late Charles and Ella Dickman (nee Hartley); devoted husband of the late Veronica (nee Hickey); loving father of Roger (Jane) Dickman, Dawn (late Albert) DeBartolo, Michael Dickman, Denise (Patrick) Stack, and Ellen (Daniel) O’Dea; cherished grandpa of Roger (Melissa), Anthony (Meg), Matthew (Amanda), Beth Ann (Donald), Joseph, Mary, Daniel, Patrick, Dennis, James (Analise), Michael, and Sean and great-grandpa of Klara, Abel, Cole, Riley, Francis, Roger, Grace, Jace, and Bonnie; dearest brother of late Loretta (late John) Pavlik, late Helen (late Walter) Joyce, late Charles (Delores) Dickman, William (Valerie) Dickman, and late Walter (late Corinne, late Cathy) Dickman.
Roger was a Proud United States Marine Veteran. He was a member of Local 150 Operating Engineers, and avid gardener. Roger enjoyed socializing with family and friends, attending get-togethers, and most of all spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He will deeply missed by all who knew him, and never forgotten.
Services at McInerney Central Chapel, 4635 S. Wallace St., Chicago, Illinois where family and friends will gather on September 26, 2022 from 3 PM to 8 PM. Funeral is on September 27, 2022 with chapel prayers at 9 a.m. to St. Gabriel's Church for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Burial to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Wounded Warrior Project, www.woundedwarriorproject.com would be appreciated. For those attending services please note wearing of masks are encouraged but not mandatory.
