Obituary for Scott Seifert

Scott Robert Seifert, 70, March 25, 2019, longtime resident of Chicago since 1985, formerly of Brookfield, WI. Passed away peacefully at home after a 6 year battle with cancer.

Scott was employed by Marshall Field & Co., for over 35 years, having worked at various store locations including, Mayfair Mall in Wisconsin, CherryVale in Rockford, Stratford Square, Orland Park and Park Forest, all in Illinois. After retirement from retail, Scott worked as a bartender at several Chicago area bars and enjoyed a large following of dedicated loyal customers, many of whom became very close friends who were like family to him.

Scott is preceded in death by his parents, Robert G Seifert and Dora Richter Seifert; and one sister, Kris Seifert who recently passed in December 2018.

Scott has been cremated in keeping with his wishes.

Scott's close devoted friends Mark Lavin, Eddie Herbeck and Jackie Sims will always carry part of Scott with them after a close devoted friendship of almost 40 years. Scott will long be remembered for his unique recognizable laugh and his peculiar sense of humor.

A celebration of life gathering will be planned for early June.
