90, born and raised in Canaryville, passed away on December 29, 2022. Beloved daughter of the late Michael and the late Elizabeth Walsh (Brennock), and her devoted adoptive mother Margaret Walsh (Brennock), who raised her since she was 9 months old. Loving sister of the late Margaret (late Bernard) Misch, late John (late Mary) Walsh, late Mae (late George) Kernats, and the late Frances (late Robert) Burns.; cherished cousin and best friend, Marilyn Stack; best aunt of Sandy Bowen and George Kernats; great-aunt of Stacy Watson, Eddie (Jen) Bowen, and Christopher (Carli) Bowen; great-great aunt of Keely, Clancey, Colin, Brayden, and Madison, and numerous more nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Shirley retired from the City of Chicago, Building Department. She loved spending time with family and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Services at McInerney Central Chapel, 4635 S. Wallace Street, Chicago, IL 60609. Where family and friends will gather on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 from 3-8 pm. Funeral Wednesday, January 4, 2023 with chapel prayers at 9 am to St. Gabriel Church for a 10 am Mass of Christian Burial. Burial Resurrection Cemetery
