Obituary for Sophie Multack

Sophie Multack, 89, of Mesa, AZ, formerly of Chicago, IL. Sophie was the beloved wife of Phillip Multack, to whom she was married on February 10, 1951 in Chicago. He preceded her in death on September 16, 2007. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Abe and Rose Snitowsky; and three brothers, Morris Snitowsky, Isadore (late Esther) Snitowsky, and Lou (Lillian) Shaw.

Survivors include her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and sister. Sophie was the devoted mother, a stay-at-home mom, to one son, Randy Multack, of Sammamish, WA; two daughters, Sheryl Spangler (Jerry McQuay) of Charlotte, NC, and Rose Ranegar, of Mesa, AZ. Cherished grandmother of Bryan (Michelle) Brzycki, David (Jennifer) Brzycki, and Adam (Morgan) Brzycki; great grandmother of Krissy and Miles Brzycki, Madison and Caleb Brzycki , and Alaina Brzycki. Dear sister of Esther (late David) Brodsky, of Vernon Hills, IL. Fond former mother in law of Joe Spangler.

Sophie was born and raised in Chicago, having graduated from Bowen High School. She was a longtime member of Congregation Kehilath Israel (CKI) in Jeffery Manor. She enjoyed exercising and playing bunco.

Funeral Service Monday, April 1, at CENTRAL CHAPEL, 6158 S. Central Ave., Chicago, IL. Family and friends will gather from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Rabbi Edward Friedman, officiating. Burial Evergreen Cemetery, Evergreen Park, IL.
